Levon Azizyan

Levon Azizyan was born in 1983.
In 2009, he graduated from YSU Faculty of Geography and Geology, received PhD scientific degree.
He also graduated with honors from the same faculty of YSU, received Bachelor’s Degree  and Master’s Degree. 
Candidate of Technical Sciences.  
Work Experience
From January 9, 2017 - Deputy Director of “Service of the Hydrometeorology and Active Influence on Atmospheric Phenomena” of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations
2012 –2016 - Head of the Centre for Hydrology of “State Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Service” of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia
From 2010 to date - Member of the Interdepartmental Commissions and Working Groups in the sphere of Hydrometeorology
2009–2011 - Deputy Head of the Operative Hydrometeorological Center of “State Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Service” of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia
2006-2011 - Head of Hydrological Forecast Division of “State Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Service” of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia,
Experience in international projects:
From 2016 to present - Member of National Strategy Implementation Council of Armenia, European Union's Water Initiative Plus (EUWI+) project
From 2013 to date - National Coordinator of “Black Sea and Middle East Flash Flood Guidance” (BSMEFFG) project of World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
He was the  expert in a number of international projects.
He is the author of more than 20 scientific publications.
